(November 27, 2019, Monrovia)- The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) is saddened by the death of the former President Pro temp of the Liberian Senate and the Political Leader of the opposition Liberty Party, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine.
Cllr. Charles W. Brumskine died on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Virginia, United States of America. He was sixty-nine years (69) old.
His professional career spent times across lawyering and politics- Cllr. Brumskine came to prominence in politics in the 1990s as a Stewart of the National Patriotic Party of former President, Charles G. Taylor.
The Press Union of Liberia has described Cllr. Charles W. Brumskine as an indefatigable ambassador of rightness and zealous upholder of the law. Brumskine, the Union insists actions are leaving behind a country which politics is slowly believing in the rule of law.
“We are mourning but, in our tears, proud at the imprints, Cllr. Brumskine has left on the Liberian State. His contributions to regional peace and security are enviable though at some points debatable”, Press Union of Liberia, President- Charles B. Coffey, Jr.- lamented.
